The Oceaneleen Ground Teams.Oceaneleen employees who will remove rubbish from coastal areas are called Oceaneleen Ground Teams.Oceaneleen
uses people to remove coastal litter and monitor
rubbish levels. These workers will be employed both in-house and via
sub-contracts, with the balance decided upon by early trials. The management will monitor the progress and performance of employees and each individual contractor area, while also expanding efforts to global proportions. This team will liaise with city, county and shire councils to co-ordinate clean up efforts. Services will be broken up into precincts, where sub-contract teams will operate. The idea of precincts was pivotal to the success of Oceaneleen’s low cost, high performance budget. The
use of precincts
allows services success of each sub-contractor to be monitored at a
glance,
either from the sub-contractors themselves on their own workers, from
other
sub-contractors in neighbouring precincts, from the public of that
region or by
Oceaneleen staff sent to supervise the progress of the effort in that
area.If an area is not being tidied the sub-contractor faces losing
the contract. Where sub-contracted services are not available or have been terminated without a replacement available, Oceaneleen Ground Teams will establish personnel in that location. The budget funds provide enough for many workers as well as hundreds of vehicles to move staff from location to location, removing litter. Should a problem area be identified Oceaneleen will try to work with the local council authorities to try to find a solution. Wage differences of the world enable the budgeted services
to be sustained for 10 years, until Shaneen funding - having repaid bond buyers
- takes over Oceaneleen funding. |
